I've been looking over my three Orion's Arm stories and I couldn't help noticing a significant amount of improvement from first to third. First one opens with a cliche and is a little sparse on the scene-setting. On the other hand, they are in space.

Each one's roughly two thousand words, +/- 200. Or thereabouts.

Considerations of irony aside, only the green gelpod and nanometal skin separated Hethuj from the battle.
